THE PRESS FORWARD

Our capstone Public Relations class saw us work for client Press Forward, a non-profit partnering with research firms to improve media coverage of sexual assault cases, and to promote diversity and women in leadership positions, especially in the media.  We pitched this book, all of which I designed and put together, in competition with the rest of our class and won.

My primary pieces of this project were: all research, design elements of all social and other ads as well as the book itself, rebranding, repositioning, website creation and redesign, and podcast rebrand.

The Press Forward Media Plan & ReBrand

My group pitched this media plan, designed, assembled, and partially written by me, to The Press Forward’s CEOs. We won the pitch against competition from our classmates.

Podcast Branding

The Glass Ceiling

We recommended The Press Forward consider starting a podcast, on which they would interview industry leaders and voices for feminism and against sexual assault in the media world. This podcast needed a name and a design, so I created sample social banners and cover art for our chosen name, The Glass Ceiling.

Women in the Workplace

Sample Report

The Press Forward requested a sample design for a one-pager summarizing the annual Women in the Workplace report—a project conducted by McKinsey & Co. on women’s situation in the corporate world. Below are the results of my design efforts, incorporating some real data from the 2019 report.

Social Ads

Finally, I created sample social ads for The Press Forward, which they were able to watch via QR codes during our presentation.
